Introduction
Noel started his working life as a systems engineer
in a financial software house in London. This provided him with
an essential technical background which proved invaluable in the
transition to information-based roles.
With initial training provided by AT&T , Noel
embarked on a technical writing career which has so far involved
8 years working on key telecommunications, IT/software and consumer
electronics projects.

OpenView and related network management concepts; Unix shell scripting;

Contrary to the technical writer stereotype, Noel
is a very dynamic worker with the ability to understand the concepts
and technologies relating to the projects in which he is involved.
He is happy working alone or as part of a team, conforming to a
client's in-house standards or in a more creative capacity.

Dell | EMC Storage Area Networks solutions
Senior technical writer primed with developing
a suite of training materials for Dell|EMC DAS, NAS and SAN storage
solutions. This task provided Noel with an indepth knowledge of
FC4500 and FC4700 storage arrays, MirrorView, SnapView, Access Logix,
PowerPath and Navisphere.
Nortel Networks' Internet Fixed Wireless Access
system
Over a number of years and system releases, wrote
the operations, administration and maintenance (OA&M) documentation
suite for this access network. Undertook mentoring and team leadership
roles for members of the technical writing team working on other
aspects of the system.
AT&T Bell Labs
Similar roles to those held at Nortel Networks,
whilst working on the company's AirLoop, Intelligent Network and
Universal Fibre Microcell (mini GSM basestation) projects.
